Garment Care

The Windsor Apparel collection features luxury fabrics and sophisticated blends that require special care when washing. Please follow our garment care instructions closely to keep your Windsor Apparel garment in peak condition.

Jackets:

General care

  • Any contact with rough surfaces or sharp objects can result in pulls or damages to the wool fabric.
  • Keeping a clean saddle will prolong the life of your jacket as saddle residue and oil will stain fabric.
  • After wear, your jacket should be left on a quality hanger for 24 hours to allow wrinkles to release.
  • A lint brush may be used to gently pick up fluff and dust.

Choose the correct size

Take care when choosing a garment size. If worn too tightly seam slippage will occur. View our Size Chart.

Shirts and Stocks:

Machine wash Windsor Apparel Shirts and Stocks inside out at 30° C using a mild detergent. Wash separately. Refrain from pouring washing detergent directly onto the garments or using abrasive scrubbing brushes. For best results, allow the shirt and stock to line dry in the shade. Use a cool iron setting.

Jodhpurs and Breeches:

Machine wash Windsor Apparel Jodhpurs and Breeches inside out at 30° C using a mild detergent. Wash separately. Refrain from pouring washing detergent directly onto the breeches or using abrasive scrubbing brushes. For best results, allow the breeches to line dry in the shade.

General care

  • Any contact with rough surfaces or sharp objects can result in pulls or damages to the fabric and suede.
  • Keeping a clean saddle will prolong the life of your breeches as saddle residue and oil will stain fabric and suede.
  • Riding in a suede or synthetic saddle is not recommended.
  • Ensure stirrup leathers are smooth and without abrasive stitching as this can rub against the breeches causing damage.
  • Synthetic stirrup leathers will cause excess friction and are especially damaging to breeches fabrics and suedes.
  • Take care when using chaps as the Velcro can attach to the breeches fabric causing pulls.

Choose the correct size

If worn too tightly the seams may split in the knees, bottom and crotch. Please see our size chart to help you choose your size. View our Size Chart.
